What Is Webuzo?
Webuzo is a multi-user Linux hosting control panel for VPS and dedicated servers, built by the Softaculous team, with Admin, Reseller and Enduser levels in one interface.
- One-click installs for 350-plus apps — WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Magento — through the built-in Softaculous installer, plus a WordPress Manager for updates, staging and clones.
- Domains, DNS, email, databases, SSL (Let's Encrypt and Buypass) and backups in one dashboard — with importers that move accounts in from cPanel, Plesk or DirectAdmin.
- Licenses start at $2.50 a month after a 15-day free trial, which is why solo developers and small resellers pick it over pricier panels.
- Runs on Ubuntu, AlmaLinux and CentOS. Small servers run it, but the panel's own partners publish 2 GB RAM as the minimum and 8 GB as the recommended production size.
It suits solo developers, agencies reselling hosting, and anyone self-managing a VPS. WebJi® shared plans keep the familiar panel — see Linux hosting, or compare panels in cPanel vs DirectAdmin.
Core Features: One-Click Apps, Stacks, SSL
Webuzo bundles the whole hosting stack behind one GUI. You choose the web server — Apache, Nginx or OpenLiteSpeed — pin each domain to its PHP version with MultiPHP, and run MySQL or MariaDB alongside PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Node.js and Python. SSL from Let's Encrypt or Buypass issues and renews automatically, and backups schedule to local disk, S3-compatible storage, Google Drive, FTP or SFTP. Two-factor login, ModSecurity, CSF and jailshell cover the security basics.

Webuzo vs cPanel vs DirectAdmin (Comparison Table)
All three panels run the same Linux jobs — websites, mailboxes, databases, SSL, one-click apps — and differ in who builds them, how many user levels they expose and what a licence costs. Webuzo is the newest multi-user option, cPanel is the default on most shared hosting including WebJi®'s, and DirectAdmin sits between them with its own native WordPress Manager.
| Panel | User levels | One-click apps | Licence | Typical fit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Webuzo | Admin, Reseller, Enduser | Built-in Softaculous, 350+ apps, WordPress Manager | From $2.50/mo, 15-day trial | Self-managed VPS, small resellers |
| cPanel | WHM (admin) plus cPanel users | Softaculous, included on WebJi® shared plans | Commercial licence, bundled with WebJi® shared hosting | Shared hosting customers |
| DirectAdmin | Admin, reseller, user | Native WordPress Manager; Softaculous as an add-on | Commercial licence | Budget VPS, admin-led setups |
Webuzo pricing above was read from webuzo.com on 29 October 2026; cPanel and DirectAdmin licence fees are not published on the pages we read, so compare against your provider's bundle. On WebJi® shared plans cPanel is already included — the panel login is separate from the client area where invoices and tickets live.
Installing Webuzo on a VPS
Webuzo installs on Ubuntu, AlmaLinux or CentOS from the vendor's install documentation, and several hosts ship it as a one-click VPS template. Size the server honestly before you start: the published minimums are 2 vCPU, 2 GB RAM and 30 GB disk, but partner guides warn those specs only let the software survive — they recommend 4 vCPU, 8 GB RAM and 200 GB NVMe for a stable production site.
On a WebJi® VPS, ask for Webuzo in the quote request to support@webji.services so it is provisioned with the server; it is not assumed on unmanaged boxes. Shared plans do not need it — they already run cPanel with Softaculous. For help with an existing server, open a ticket at https://billing.webji.in/submitticket.php?step=2&deptid=10.
When Webuzo Makes Sense (and When Not)
Webuzo makes sense when you self-manage a VPS or dedicated server and want reseller-style user levels without a cPanel-size licence: agencies hosting client sites, developers who want WordPress staging and clones, and anyone migrating in from cPanel, Plesk or DirectAdmin through the built-in importers.
It makes less sense on WebJi® shared hosting, where cPanel is already included and managed for you. For Windows or ASP.NET work, Plesk is the panel that fits. And if you want nothing to do with server administration at all, a managed plan beats any control panel.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Webuzo used for?
Managing websites, domains, email accounts, databases, DNS, FTP, SSL and backups on a Linux VPS or dedicated server from one web dashboard, instead of configuring each service in the terminal.
Is Webuzo free?
No. Webuzo is commercial software with a 15-day free trial; licenses start at $2.50 a month for the Personal Cloud tier (webuzo.com, read 29 October 2026). Shared hosting customers do not need a licence — WebJi® shared plans include cPanel.
Webuzo or cPanel — which is better for a VPS?
Linux shared and WordPress plans use cPanel. Windows plans use Plesk. The panel login is separate from the client area where you pay invoices and open tickets. If you need a specific panel on a VPS, say so in the quote request to support@webji.services — it is not assumed on every unmanaged server.
How do I install Webuzo on a server?
Install it on Ubuntu, AlmaLinux or CentOS from the official install documentation, or ask for it in your VPS quote so it is provisioned for you. For help with an existing account, open a ticket at https://billing.webji.in/submitticket.php?step=2&deptid=10.
Which apps can Webuzo install in one click?
More than 350 through the built-in Softaculous installer — WordPress, Joomla, Drupal and Magento among them — plus a WordPress Manager for updates, staging and clones.
Does Webuzo include Softaculous?
Yes. Webuzo is built by the Softaculous team, and the Softaculous one-click installer with 350-plus apps ships inside it.
Is WebJi® an Indian company?
Yes. WebJi® is headquartered in Jaipur, Rajasthan and has operated since 2005. Billing, support and governance all run from India.
Do you provide GST invoices?
Every purchase and renewal gets a GST invoice with our GSTIN, and hosting prices are quoted exclusive of 18% GST. Claim input credit as applicable.
