What is the difference between Zoho Mail and Google Workspace?
Zoho Mail is a mailbox on your own domain: the address, the calendar, and the inbox. Google Workspace is Gmail plus Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet and Chat. The mail app is one part of that suite, not the whole product.
Here, a Google mail service provider means Google Workspace on your domain, not a free personal Gmail login. Both use the same internet-mail protocols: IMAP, POP and SMTP. An autoresponder is only the away reply on that mailbox. Categories of mail such as a personal free account or a newsletter blast are a different job.
- Zoho Mail: mailbox first. Office apps sit on the wider Workplace plans, not on Mail Lite.
- Google Workspace: Gmail shares one storage pool with Drive and the editors.
- Neither product is WebJi. We bill Google Workspace and host our own business email.
What do the published India prices say?
The Zoho amounts below are list prices printed by Unico Connect on 7 October 2026. They are not a WebJi bill. WebJi rows are from our price file on 29 October 2026, before 18% GST. Brockbank Consulting, dated 17 August 2026, quotes US dollars, so those dollars are not in this table.

₹3,240 a year is ₹270 a month before GST, the same monthly shape as the Google Starter list on that October page. Zoho Mail Lite at ₹59 a month is a lower list price. That does not make WebJi cheaper: our row is the Google product, and the business-email pack is five mailboxes, a different unit even after 18% GST.
That October page also lists Zoho Mail Premium at ₹199 a month and Workplace Professional at ₹399, and Google Standard at ₹1,080 a month, all before GST on annual billing. ₹1,080 a month is the same yearly total as our ₹12,960 row.
When is Zoho Mail the better mailbox?
Stay on Zoho Mail when the team mostly sends and receives mail and does not live in shared documents. Mail Lite is the mail-and-calendar plan. Workplace Standard is the step that adds files and office apps, and that October page still lists it under the Google Starter price.
Fixed space per mailbox, yearly-only mail plans, and a free plan that can omit IMAP and POP are the drawbacks people hit. A reported government mailbox deal uses its own rates. It is not your business seat, and it does not choose the inbox for a shop or a studio.
WebJi does not sell Zoho and cannot open a Zoho support case. Buy Zoho from Zoho. If you only need domain mail we host, the pack of five 5 GB mailboxes is ₹2,520 a year before 18% GST.
When does Google Workspace earn the extra cost?
Pay for Google Workspace when people already share Docs, store large files in Drive, or meet on video. Business Starter is ₹3,240 per user a year, Business Standard is ₹12,960, and Business Plus is ₹24,000, before 18% GST. Pooled storage on those rows is 30 GB, 2 TB, and 5 TB.
A mailbox is not a bulk sender. Unsolicited mail to a purchased list hurts delivery on both products. SPF, DKIM and DMARC are DNS records that tell other servers your domain sent the message. Both vendors ask for them. They do not pick a winner.
If the habit is Outlook and Teams, look at Microsoft 365, which we also sell. Its price is on that page, not in this Zoho table. The admin screen, the mailing panel, is where you add users and read MX host names.
How do you switch without losing the domain address?
Keep the old account online. Copy mail across while the current MX still delivers there. Change MX only after a test from an outside address lands in the new inbox. The switch worked when that test arrives and the old mailbox still opens.

Can I use my own domain with Zoho or Google?
Yes. Both products put you@yourdomain on the address after you verify the domain and publish their MX records. WebJi business email does the same on mail we host. The address works when a message from outside lands in that inbox.
