Expert Advisor Hosting on a Windows VPS

Quick answer: Expert advisor hosting keeps a MetaTrader 4 or 5 robot running after the laptop sleeps. On WebJi® that is a Windows cloud server you leave logged in, not a shared website plan. Cloud Entry is ₹5,900 a month before 18% GST (2 vCPU, 8 GB, 100 GB), read 30 October 2026.

What expert advisor hosting is

Expert advisor hosting is a computer that stays on so a MetaTrader expert advisor can keep trading after you close the laptop. On WebJi® that computer is a Windows cloud server. You install MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5, attach the robot, and disconnect. The server does not go to sleep with you.

An expert advisor is a compiled robot: an .ex4 file on MT4 or an .ex5 file on MT5. It runs only inside a MetaTrader terminal that is open and logged in to the broker. Shared website hosting has no way to keep that terminal open.

The server you order is the forex VPS. WebJi® does not preinstall MetaTrader, and it does not take the robot file from you and run it in a private slot.

Why an expert advisor stops when the laptop sleeps

Sleep suspends the CPU and drops the network. MetaTrader loses the broker connection, and the expert advisor stops. It cannot open, change, or close trades until the laptop wakes and the terminal logs in again.

Orders already at the broker stay there, including a stop-loss or take-profit the terminal had placed. What stops is the robot: trailing stops, grids, filters, and new entries. That gap is what shows up when the market has moved overnight.

A Windows server fixes laptop sleep only if that server stays awake too. Set sleep and hibernate to Never on the VPS. Disconnecting Remote Desktop is not a shutdown. Signing out of Windows, or letting the power plan sleep, stops the expert advisor.

VPS specs for one to five expert advisors

WebJi® does not publish a megabyte figure per expert advisor. The table is the Windows cloud server to start from for one to five robots. After they are attached, open Task Manager on the server. If memory sits near the top of the installed RAM, move up a row before you add another chart.

Expert advisorsStarting rowSpecsPrice before 18% GST
1 to 3Cloud Entry2 vCPU, 8 GB RAM, 100 GB₹5,900 a month
4 to 5Cloud Business4 vCPU, 16 GB RAM, 250 GB₹7,900 a month
More than five, or MT4 and MT5 both open with heavy chartsCloud Pro8 vCPU, 32 GB RAM, 500 GB₹11,900 a month

One to three experts start on Cloud Entry because it is the smallest Windows cloud server on the list. There is no 1 GB or 2 GB expert-advisor row. Four or five start on Cloud Business so a second terminal still has RAM. These are starting rows, not a measured limit per robot.

Prices were read on 30 October 2026 from the cloud-server list. Each figure is one server for a month, before 18% GST. It is not a fee per expert advisor.

What WebJi charges for expert advisor hosting

You pay for the server in the table, not for each robot. The image is Windows Server 2019, 2022, or 2025, with Remote Desktop. Plesk is an optional addon and is not required to run MetaTrader.

The invoice adds 18% GST on top of the figure in the table. A shape that is not listed is quoted by email at support@webji.services before you pay. That mailbox is staffed 24/7 in Hindi and English, and the average first reply is under 60 minutes. The office phone is not a support line.

The uptime target is 99.9% for the machine staying reachable. It is not a promise that a faulty expert advisor never halts. Moving a terminal off a laptop is a migration request, subject to terms and approval, not an instant copy of the PC.

How a VPS differs from upload-a-file expert advisor hosting

The India desktop results for this query on 30 October 2026 showed two organic pages that were not ads. Both describe a managed slot: you upload the compiled expert, and you do not rent the Windows desktop.

Traders Connect lists EA Connect at $10 per expert advisor each month (https://tradersconnect.com/ea-connect, read 30 October 2026). MetaCopier's EA hosting page (https://docs.metacopier.io/features/custom-ea-hosting, same date) prints no price. It describes a beta feature, with up to five experts on one account, each in its own terminal.

WebJi® is neither of those companies. A WebJi® server is the Windows machine in the table. You install MetaTrader yourself. Nothing on this price list is a dollar fee per robot. A per-expert month and a per-server month before 18% GST are not the same unit, so the two prices are left side by side.

How to run MetaTrader on the expert advisor VPS

Use the compiled .ex4 or .ex5, not the .mq4 or .mq5 source, unless you compile that source yourself. The click path, including AutoTrading and the live-trading tick box, is the MT4 and MT5 VPS setup guide. The short version is below.

  1. Order Cloud Entry, Cloud Business, or Cloud Pro, then connect with Remote Desktop using the address and password from the welcome email.
  2. On the server, not on the laptop, download MetaTrader from your broker and log in with the account number, password, and the server name from the broker.
  3. Copy the .ex4 or .ex5 into that terminal's Experts folder, attach it to the chart, and allow live trading for that expert.
  4. Disconnect Remote Desktop without signing out. Reconnect later. The Experts tab should still be printing, which means the robot stayed up.

An expert from the MQL5 Market activates against one computer. Activate it on the VPS if that is where it must run, and read the vendor's activation limit before you also activate the laptop. Allow DLL imports only when that expert's author says the robot needs a DLL. On this server that switch is yours. WebJi® does not review source code.

Latency and the expert advisor VPS

Latency for an expert advisor is the path from this server to the broker's trade server. It is not how fast a website loads in a browser. WebJi® does not publish a millisecond figure for these cloud servers.

Before you pay, email support@webji.services and ask which location that row is provisioned in. After MetaTrader is logged in, read the connection time the terminal shows. Adding RAM does not change that number.

Managing an expert advisor after you disconnect

Remote Desktop is how you change inputs: mstsc on Windows, the Windows App on macOS, or an RDP app on a phone. Close the Remote Desktop window and the session keeps running. Sign out, or shut Windows down, and the expert advisor stops. That mistake looks like a failed server.

Once a week, read the Experts tab, the Journal tab, and the free disk space. Before you replace a robot, keep a copy of the file you are about to overwrite. WebJi® does not store old versions of your expert advisor.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is expert advisor hosting?

Expert advisor hosting is a machine that leaves a MetaTrader 4 or 5 expert advisor running when your laptop sleeps. At WebJi® that machine is a Windows cloud server you log into with Remote Desktop. It is not shared website hosting, and the terminal is not preinstalled.

Do I need a VPS if the laptop sleeps?

Yes, if the robot must keep managing trades while the computer is closed. Sleep drops the broker connection. A Windows server that is set never to sleep, and that you disconnect from rather than shut down, keeps the terminal logged in.

Which WebJi row fits one to five expert advisors?

Start one to three experts on Cloud Entry (2 vCPU, 8 GB, 100 GB, ₹5,900 a month before 18% GST). Start four or five on Cloud Business (4 vCPU, 16 GB, 250 GB, ₹7,900). WebJi® does not publish a megabyte-per-robot figure. Check Task Manager after they are attached.

Can MT4 and MT5 run on the same expert advisor VPS?

Yes. Install each terminal as its own program and log each one into its account. Two live terminals are why four or five experts start on Cloud Business rather than the 8 GB row. The setup guide covers the separate shortcuts.

Does disconnecting Remote Desktop stop the expert advisor?

No. Closing the Remote Desktop window disconnects you and leaves Windows running, which is what you want. Signing out or shutting the server down stops the expert advisor. Reconnect and check that the Experts tab is still printing.

How much is expert advisor hosting before GST?

Cloud Entry is ₹5,900 a month, Cloud Business is ₹7,900, and Cloud Pro is ₹11,900, before 18% GST, read 30 October 2026. The invoice adds 18% GST. The price is for one Windows server, not for each expert advisor.

Is a per-EA upload host the same as this VPS?

No. Those products charge to run a file you upload, or they document that service. WebJi® rents the Windows server. You install MetaTrader. A $10 per expert month and a server month before GST are different units, so they are not ranked by price.
