How a hosting affiliate program pays in India
You share a tracked link. If a new customer buys hosting inside the cookie window, the program records a commission. You are paid after the hold, and only once the balance clears the minimum.
The link is not a discount by itself. BigRock calculates hosting commission on the net selling price, so a coupon cuts your commission in the same proportion. Domain India pays the first purchase only.
A purchase that missed the tracked link does not pay. BigRock states that limit. Domain India also refuses a referral from your own account, household or device.
What to compare on a hosting affiliate program
Compare the commission type, the cookie, the payout rail and whether a renewal pays. Those four decide what you receive, not the largest percent on the page.
| Check | What to read in the terms |
|---|---|
| Commission type | A percent of the invoice or a flat bounty, and whether it is the first sale only |
| Cookie | How many days a click still earns, and whether a second device still counts |
| Payout | Currency, rail, minimum, and the hold before money is sent |
| Renewal | Whether the same customer pays you again, and for how many terms |
| Reversal | Refunds, chargebacks, coupons and self-purchases that remove the commission |

Run these twenty-three checks on every program. They do not depend on the brand. A blank answer is a no until the program writes it down.
- Is the commission a percent of the invoice, or a flat bounty per sale?
- Does it pay the first invoice only, every renewal, or a stated number of years?
- Does the rate change for shared hosting, VPS, dedicated servers, domains, email or SSL?
- Is there a cap per sale? BigRock's headline cap is up to ₹10,000 per qualified sale.
- Is commission calculated on the net selling price, or on the price before discounts and tax?
- What does a coupon do? BigRock cuts the commission in proportion to the discount.
- How many days does the cookie last?
- Does a later click by another affiliate overwrite yours? If the page is silent, ask.
- Does the cookie follow the visitor to a second device? Domain India says its 90-day cookie does.
- How long is the hold before a sale can be paid? BigRock and Domain India both use 60 days.
- Does a refund or a chargeback reverse the commission?
- What is the payout minimum? BigRock states ₹3,200. Domain India states ₹5,000.
- Which currency is the payout: INR, USD, or something else?
- Which rail is it: NEFT, UPI, wire, or a method you cannot receive?
- What is the calendar: monthly, or a set number of days after the lock?
- Does the same customer's renewal pay you again?
- Is buying through your own link forbidden?
- Is bidding on the host's brand name in ads forbidden?
- Are coupon-only pages, popunders and paid-to-click traffic forbidden?
- Must the site be approved before the link may go live?
- Can you see the click in a dashboard before you count a sale?
- Who deducts tax? BigRock says it does not. You still report Indian income. WebJi collects PAN before a payout.
- Are the rate, the cookie, the hold and the minimum in a written IO or email before you send traffic?
Hosting affiliate rates read for India on 30 October 2026
These are public terms read on 30 October 2026, not a rank. A 50% line can pay less than a 15% line once the cap, the coupon and the renewal rule are applied.
| Program | Hosting commission | Cookie | When it pays | Renewals |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| BigRock | 50% of the net sale on hosting and servers. Headline up to ₹10,000 a qualified sale. Domains 8%. Email 25%. | 60 days | Wire via Impact after a 60-day lock. Minimum ₹3,200. | Not stated as lifetime |
| Domain India | Up to 15% on shared and reseller. VPS and cloud 10%. Dedicated 5%. | 90 days, including a second device | NEFT or UPI after a 60-day hold. Minimum ₹5,000. Monthly. | First purchase only |
| Hostinger | At least 40% of an eligible sale. The rate rises with volume. | Not in the 30 October 2026 note | Not in that note | Not in that note |
| MilesWeb | 40% on shared. 20% on cloud, VPS and reseller. 15% on dedicated. | Not in that note | ₹8,000 first-payout threshold. 45-day approval. | Not in that note |
| WebJi® | No percent is published. | In the email before signup | INR after the refund window. PAN before the first payout. | Ask in that email |
WebJi® is not BigRock, Domain India, Hostinger or MilesWeb. Their rates stay theirs. The WebJi hosting affiliate program confirms its own rate by email, and it does not copy these percents.
The Hostinger and MilesWeb rows were recorded on 30 October 2026 from hostinger.com/in/affiliates and milesweb.in/affiliates. A May 2026 roundup still lists MilesWeb at up to ₹5,000 a referral, which does not match that October page.
Recurring commission versus a one-time hosting bounty
One-time commission pays the first invoice and then stops. Recurring commission pays again on a later invoice for the same customer, and only when the written terms say so.
Domain India is one-time in public. Its page says renewals and later purchases by the same customer do not pay, which keeps the first-sale percent from becoming a lifetime share.
BigRock publishes 50% of each hosting and server sale and a 60-day cookie. It does not say that 50% repeats on every renewal for the life of the account. Treat a missing renewal line as one-time until the program writes otherwise.
WebJi's renewal rule is not on the public page. The email that confirms the rate should also say whether a renewal pays, and for how long.
What a hosting affiliate in India is actually paid
Nobody is paid a salary for joining. Income is the published rate on qualified sales, minus refunds inside the hold, and nothing is sent until the balance clears the minimum.
BigRock's own FAQ uses a coupon, not a salary: a 20% discount on an Essential Web Hosting sale pays ₹600 commission, because the commission falls by the same 20%.
The money moves later. BigRock pays by wire after a 60-day lock once the balance is at least ₹3,200, and it says January commissions are paid on or before 30 March. Domain India pays by NEFT or UPI after a 60-day review, once ₹5,000 has cleared.
How to get a hosting affiliate account approved
You can apply without a large site. The program still looks at the page where the link will sit, and it can refuse the account.
- Apply on the program's own site. BigRock and Domain India both say the application is free.
- Submit your site if you have one. BigRock approves the site first and refuses adult content, piracy and illegal pages.
- Copy the tracking link only after the dashboard shows it.
- Open that link in a second browser and confirm the click is logged before you publish the page.
WebJi charges no fee to apply. You still need visitors, because a link with no traffic pays nothing, and a coupon-only page is closed.
How to promote hosting affiliate links without losing trust
Say, next to the link, that you are paid if the reader buys. A disclosure in a footer that nobody sees does not do that job.
Quote a rate only with the date you read it, and link the host's own terms. The figures in the table were read on 30 October 2026.
Do not bid on the host's brand name in ads. BigRock and Domain India both forbid it, and both can void the commission.
Recommend a host you would use yourself. Readers who are choosing a plan can use the hosting plan comparison.
If you would rather set the price and invoice the client, that is reseller hosting, not an affiliate link.
Questions about hosting affiliate programs in India
These answers use the rates read on 30 October 2026. Recheck the program's own page before you apply.
Which hosting affiliate programs pay the highest commissions in India?
On 30 October 2026, BigRock published 50% of the net sale on hosting and servers, with a headline of up to ₹10,000 per qualified sale. Domain India published up to 15% on shared and reseller hosting, and only on the first purchase. A higher percent pays less if renewals are excluded or one sale cannot clear the minimum.
How much can a blogger earn from hosting affiliates?
You are paid the published rate on sales that survive the hold, and nothing until the balance clears the minimum. BigRock's minimum is ₹3,200. Domain India's is ₹5,000. A site that sends no buyers earns zero. No typical monthly income was measured, so none is stated.
What is the difference between one-time and recurring affiliate commission?
One-time commission pays the first invoice and then stops. Domain India is that kind of program: renewals and later purchases by the same customer do not pay. Recurring commission pays again when that customer renews, and only if the terms say so. BigRock does not say its 50% repeats for the life of the account.
How long do hosting affiliate cookies last?
The cookie is how long after a click a purchase still credits you. BigRock publishes 60 days. Domain India publishes 90 days and says the cookie follows the visitor across devices. If a program does not print the number, get it in writing before you send traffic.
How and when do hosting affiliates get paid in India?
BigRock locks a sale for 60 days and pays by wire once the balance reaches ₹3,200. It says January commissions are paid on or before 30 March. Domain India reviews a sale for 60 days, then pays by NEFT or UPI once ₹5,000 has cleared, by the 15th of the next month. WebJi pays approved commission in INR after the refund window and collects PAN first.
Can Indian bloggers promote US hosting programs?
Yes, when the program accepts someone in India and a payout you can receive. BigRock pays India-based affiliates by wire and says it does not deduct tax. You still report that income in India. A dollar bounty is not more money until you know the hold, the minimum and the rupees that arrive.
Do I need a large website to join a hosting affiliate program?
Not always. BigRock says joining is free and needs no technical skill, then it approves an existing site and refuses adult, piracy and illegal pages. Domain India shows the link after you accept the terms. WebJi charges no fee and still expects real visitors, because a link with no traffic pays nothing.
