What this Bluehost vs SiteGround comparison is

Bluehost is cheaper on the reads dated 25 and 30 October 2026: Basic opens at $2.95/month on a three-year term and renews at $8.99, while SiteGround StartUp opens around $2.99–$3.49 for year one and renews at $14.99. SiteGround costs more but includes daily backups, a WAF and free migration. The renewal you will be billed decides.

WebJi wrote this page. WebJi is not Bluehost or SiteGround, and this is not their support desk. The names are used only to identify the products. Their phone numbers, chat lines and support email addresses are not published here.

Both are hosting companies used by WordPress sites. They do not publish one shared India rate card, and SiteGround's page shows different currencies by region, so every figure below names the page it came from and the day it was read.

What Bluehost price references showed on 30 October 2026

Bluehost's own pricing page was still not directly readable on 30 October 2026, so no figure here is presented as "Bluehost's price". The dated references are MamboServer's tests, updated 25 October 2026: Basic at $2.95/month on a three-year commitment, $4.95/month on yearly billing, renewing at $8.99. Two India-focused references read on 30 October printed rupee figures — ₹199/month renewing at ₹349 on a 36-month term, and ₹279/month renewing at ₹529 — and they disagree with each other as much as with the dollar figure.

Write down the introductory monthly price, the term that price requires, the renewal price, the currency, the tax line, and what is included. That note is the comparison; a lower first-month banner without its term is not.

What SiteGround price references showed on 30 October 2026

SiteGround's own comparison page, read on 30 October 2026, lists StartUp at $2.99/month for the first year against Bluehost's $2.95. MamboServer's 25 October read of the same plans has StartUp at $3.49 for the intro term renewing at $14.99/month, GrowBig at $5.99 renewing $24.99, and GoGeek at $9.99 renewing $39.99. SiteGround's own table also claims 11 data centres, unlimited email accounts and free daily backups against Bluehost's 5, 5 and paid add-on.

SiteGround's web hosting page still changes currency by region — earlier reads of the same URL showed euros and pounds, and an India visit can show a third currency. Printing one visitor's screen as everyone's price would be wrong. Open the page yourself and write down the renewal in the currency on your screen.

Bluehost vs SiteGround side by side: dated references

Every cell below is a published figure with its source and read date, not a verified cart. Terms differ: Bluehost's intro price needs a three-year lock, SiteGround's intro is available on one year and jumps further at renewal.

  • Renewal monthly price.
  • Data-centre choices the page actually offers you.
  • How you download a copy of the site.

WebJi's shared rates are in INR on the shared hosting page, from ₹300/month before GST. They belong in the comparison only as a third column you can read without a region switch, not as a score for Bluehost or SiteGround. The same dated method is used on Bluehost alternatives in India.

If you leave Bluehost or SiteGround

Copy files and the database, test on a temporary address, then change DNS. Keep the old account until mail works. The domain registration can stay put. Panel steps differ, so use the export that account actually offers. Neither company's support number is listed on this page.

WebJi® rates printed on this website

These figures are WebJi's, printed on webji.in. They are not a price for any other company.

Shared hosting lists L-Basic at ₹300/month (₹3,000 for one year), L-Unlimited at ₹400/month (₹4,000) and L-Developer at ₹700/month (₹7,000), before 18% GST. That page also says renewal rates are printed before you pay. The shape of the price is a monthly rate and a one-year total, not a 36-month or 48-month introductory rate.

Domain registration lists indicative ranges, before 18% GST: .com registration ₹900–1,200/year and renewal ₹1,000–1,400/year; .in registration ₹500–800/year and renewal ₹700–1,000/year. A range is not a cart total. The amount at checkout is the price.

Where another company's renewal figure is lower than ₹300/month, that is what their page showed. Compare that renewal figure with L-Basic, then add tax on both sides. A lower first-term advertisement is a different number from the renewal.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which is cheaper, Bluehost or SiteGround?

Bluehost, on the reads dated 25 and 30 October 2026. Bluehost Basic renews at $8.99/month against SiteGround StartUp's $14.99/month. The intro prices are closer than they look ($2.95 on a three-year lock versus about $2.99–$3.49 on one year), and SiteGround includes daily backups Bluehost sells as an add-on — so the cheaper renewal and the better-included plan are not the same question.

Is SiteGround better than Bluehost?

For a busy site, the dated third-party tests say yes: MamboServer's 25 October 2026 load test (200 visitors for five minutes) averaged 2.4 seconds on SiteGround against 4.7 on Bluehost, and a six-month uptime sample was 99.99% against 99.98%. For a small site on a budget, Bluehost's entry plan gives 50 GB storage against 10 GB and a lower renewal. Neither result is ours; both are one lab's published numbers.

Why not print the SiteGround price I saw in an ad?

Ads and regional pages disagree. Reads of the same SiteGround URL have shown dollars, euros and pounds, and the intro price moved between $2.99 and $3.49 within days. This page prints dated references instead, and the renewal on your own screen is the number that counts.

Where does SiteGround say its servers are?

The hosting page named North America, Europe, Asia and Australia, and its own comparison claims 11 data centres against Bluehost's 5. Which of those you can select is on the order screen. Latency to India depends on the location you are actually given, not on the length of the list.

Is either panel cPanel?

Bluehost's panel is cPanel-based; SiteGround uses its own Site Tools, which is not cPanel. Use the backup tool the account shows you. Do not assume a cPanel full-backup file exists on SiteGround.

What is WebJi's shared price in this comparison?

L-Basic is ₹300/month before 18% GST on this website. It is an INR list rate. It is cheaper than Bluehost or SiteGround only when their renewal, converted and taxed, is higher than that. This page does not claim that it is.

Do I contact SiteGround or Bluehost through WebJi?

No. This site is not their support desk and does not publish their contact details. Account exports and DNS edits happen in the account you already have.
